Lettin' ya'll know...

Bad news, jerks- I haven't been able to finish drawing a new block since we last spoke. 

The reason, or reasons? 

Well, Evil Prints played host to awesome guest artist SEAN STAR WARS recently. I mentioned that before. He stayed at the shop for the better part of last week,  managed to drink more Mountain Dew than I thought humanly possible, and did some incredible work. I'll get some images up for ya'll later. 

Anyway, that was last week and this week the Evil Prints crew is hosting WOODCUT BOOTCAMP. Basically,we tricked a bunch of people in to paying us to live in the shop for a whole week and make HUGE woodcuts. We feed them frozen meals and PBR for 7 days and then wonder why our toilet is backed up. But hey, it pays the billz (almost). 

Also, I drew some flamingos for buddy, Nick Francel's project over at ROBOTIC ARMS PRESS. He decided to draw an animal a day from A to Z... I suppose he has his reasons. 

In return for the flamingos, Nick agreed to help me out over at MONSTERS DRINKING COFFEE with his skillz. Which, I've been told, also bay the billz.

Hey party people- U2 is playing in St. Louis tonight! Don't care? Me neither! While Bono spent the better part of his day greasing up his legs and crotch to squeeeeeze into those leather pants, I've been printing... And you know what the best part is? My Alligator People block is finished! It's carved and printed, my friends. I've got 30 of these bad boys sitting at the shop now- 

waitin' for color. 

It was hot in the shop... So I printed in my undies.

Yep, now to let the ink dry and hand color. I'm so excited I can hardly wait! But don't worry about me, friends, because SEAN STAR WARS is visiting Evil Prints this week. The Evil Print minions are going to print what Sean refers to as the largest woodcut he's ever done. LARGEST WOODCUT EVER!

And, come Thursday, Evil Prints will be paid a special visit by 

John Hancock! Not sure why, but it should rule pretty hard. 

So many awesome things you'll come close to killing yourself from the excitement!

Mail Call!

I love, love, love getting things in the mail. Sometimes, I'll go online and spend a few interbucks (regular dollars) on cheap nerd stuff- usually toy robots; so that I'll get stoked when the package arrives at my doorstep.I know, I'm one daytime television program and a cup of ice cream away from total loneliness.A month or so ago I received a pair of genuine Spock ears from Amazon.com.

Spock ears > Medical alert bracelet.

Either = Pathetic.

And even more recently, my package arrived from Sean StarWars

It was a shirt, probably my new favorite shirt. Ever.
